oday I hear the heartbeat of the
Father as he sees so many of his children in strife, so many
families broken up in divorce, so much unhappiness.
He says, "If you will look at your lives
and THANK ME for what you DO have, more will be given." If any
of us begin to look at the shortcomings or how our dreams have not
been fulfilled, or dwell on the disappointments, it will be like
entering into a whirlpool that will drag us ever deeper. First, it
will pull you down into sadness, then into remorse, and finally into
despair.
When you enter into despair over what you do
NOT have, you have made yourself ineligible for receiving the
fulfillment of God's promise to you. He has said in the Scriptures,
To him who HAS, more shall be given, but to him who HAS NOT, it will
be taken away from him even that which he has.
Dear Lord, my prayer for the one reading this
who has a broken heart over disappointments, is that they will find
your strength to "look up." Even Moses in the Bible
was instructed to look up from where he was, not where he would
be. Let my friend reading this find completeness even
where they are, because residing in them is all the fullness of God
in its infancy, it only needs to be nurtured and watered along
with HOPE and TRUST. Amen. God will not disappoint!
